BIO

I am an inspiring writer who can remember writing bedtime short stories for my sister at a tender age of 9 years old. My writing will continue until I have no more thoughts. So, who am I: I am a mother of 3 beautiful offspring’s, and a pushover for my grandson. I am the daughter to Lonza and Lizzie Swinney prominent teachers that have loved, taught and equipped me with tools to survive in a world that can sometimes consume you if you are not careful. I am a nurse, compassionate from the heart, yet easily vulnerable if not careful, giving quietly to humanitarian causes not openly expressed. But, yet there is a side of me that is firm, cautious, and sometimes a loner, causing me to pluck at the keyboard more freely. I am a woman, a feminist, and a Holiness woman, yet having my own ideas about my spirituality; after-all, you must have an intimate relationship with Him. But with so many aspects of my well being, I am meek, shy and sometimes a procrastinator that asserts my adrenalin charge. To sum it up... Who am I? I am just a plain strong warm-hearted woman who enjoys expressing my thoughts on paper for others to enjoy and to know “Yes I Can.”
It’s my story, a story of survival with many attributes to my well-being and the lack of human kindness I encountered during my tests, and the numerous friends I've acquired along the way that lifted my spirit when I was in a fog. Allowing me to see beyond my failures and my continue ritual to sought the Lord. Yet this is my story from my point of view, from my own experiences, but I can’t not imagine the very many that are unable to tell their story. So I wanted my readers to know that survival is a choice with perseverance and a dedication tightly pack like a spool of thread, so when the seams began to come apart we are able to escape the full magnitude of the loose threads because we are able to hold on, and sew them back in place. While in college I took literature writing, my professor suggested I become a writer because of the way he said, how I expressed my thoughts on paper, yet my love for caring outweighed my love for writing, and so I continue my career in Medical and became a nurse. My love for writing continued to yearn at my soul, so I continued to write when time permitted. I have written several publications for my previous employers’ “Are we Ready, (a preparation for Joint Commission for accreditation) and a pamphlet for stroke victims and their families.
While I was overseas serving in Desert Storm in 1991- I decided to keep a journal, never realizing or knowing why, until one day while I was chatting on the phone an underline thought became a reality and I said, “I am going to write a book. So this is my story, my experiences, my trails and tribulations, my thoughts and the path to “Yes I Can”, it’s easy reading, enjoy the reading
